About Us
Rabbi Lipsker, the founder of Jewish life as we know it in Surfside, FL — On the occasions we did speak, whether he made a beeline over or I caught him in a lighter moment, the conversation itself was always original and fresh, and I often think back to those talks. I loved the rawness of the material, he could have shared an interaction he had with the Rebbe or incident that he had a little bit ago. It was always interesting, I always left fascinated
But it never stopped there th on repetitive was — he always pushed further, asking the same question:
“How many people are you learning with? Can you please set up more chavrusos?”
As we were all following the car carrying the Rabbi to rest up 96th St., The question lingered. If you can only give an hour a week to Torah study, we want all of it to go to the study. Not coordinating

- A chavrusa is a one-on-one Torah study partnership where two people learn together, discuss, and question the text as a pair. Torahlab helps you find a real chavrusa.
- Do I need any experience or background to join?
- No. Torahlab is beginner-first — signup never asks your skill level, and you'll find learners who fit where you are right now. Curiosity is the only requirement.
- How does Torahlab match me with a partner?
- You tell us what you'd like to learn and when you're free. Torahlab shows you real people ranked by shared topics and overlapping availability — you browse and reach out to whoever you'd like to learn with, then schedule your first session in the app.
